James Down - This is Not Me!

Whilst rooting around the interweb looking for signs of my online life, I have come across a number of James Down related links that all have one thing in common, they're not me!
We've all done it, typed your name (or someone else's) into google to see what interesting results you get, (Dave Gorman's even done a whole show about it!) You never know, sometimes you might actually find a site which relates to you. More often than not you get a series of very close, (or sometimes not so close!) misses. Amongst these though, I've found a number of other James Down's around the world that deserve their own little hall of fame.
James Down's that are not me, for your viewing pleasure
- The first one was the easiest to find. I didn't even need to google it, (but to keep this list consistent, google does it's job and places this at the top of the results list). I've been watching this domain for a while... just to see what happens with it. The other week I was happy to see that James Down, the 31 year old singer/songwriter from Canada had finally come through. You can even hear him sing! This is not me:

Who Are You Then?
If you stumbled across this page by accident and were wondering, If you're not one of the guys above, who are you then?
Well, that's a fairly easy question to answer.
Firstly, you guessed it, my name is James Down. I currently reside in the City of Nottingham, England, and I'm a web developer and all round new media guy. I work for a graphic design and new media company called De Facto Design based in The Lace Market, and have done for a good number of years now. I spend most of my days working on web development projects and dreaming of a utopian future, where technology and nature live hand in hand - the usual sort of things techies dream of really, (electric sheep!).

I've worked on web sites large and small in my time at De Facto, as well as CD ROM development, interactive design, and DVD creation. My speciality is being… well, adaptive I suppose? Jack of all trades (I resist saying master of none), I have turned my hand to many an unusual multimedia hack to get a job done, whilst at all times striving to find 'the right way'. If you have any experience in new media development or web design, you will understand what I mean immediately.
I studied photography at Nottingham Trent University <ahem>… a while ago, but I'm originally from Pembrokeshire in West Wales where I went to school. After which I spent a very happy year at the Carmarthen College of Technology and Art (CCTA) as it was then, (and whilst looking for that link I discover it isn't called that any more), studying on the art foundation course.
So if you've stumbled across this link googling for old classmates, that should give you a pretty big clue as to whether I'm your man or not!
